It's a reduced Premier Division programme this week, with five of our clubs playing in the second round of the FA Vase.

As the only top four team in league action this Saturday, table toppers Runcorn Linnets will be looking to extend their lead when they visit 21st placed AFC Blackpool, whose draw at West Didsbury & Chorlton last Saturday brought to an end their run of 4 straight defeats.

One place above AFC Blackpool are Barnoldswick Town, who entertain Alsager Town at the Silentnight Beds Stadium. Barlick have won just one of their last twelve league games while Alsager are unbeaten in their last three.

Firmly rooted to the bottom of the table, Bacup and Rossendale Borough, who have not won a game since August, visit 10th placed Winsford United, whose defeat at Glossop North End last Saturday was their first in five games.

The second highest placed team playing this Saturday is AFC Liverpool (5th) who visit Colne (7th) and will be hoping the division’s top scorer Ryan Cox can help them gain revenge for the 5-1 home defeat suffered at the hands of Colne in October.

Nelson, currently in 6th place, will be looking to extend their 5 game unbeaten run when they host West Didsbury & Chorlton, who they beat 5-2 back in September.

9th place Squires Gate visit 11th placed Maine Road in a mid-table clash. Gate ,who won their home game against Road 3-1 in August, have lost just once in their last seven games, while Road’s victory at Stockport Sports last Saturday ended a run of nine games without a win.

Stockport Sports (19th) ended their run of 6 defeats by drawing 3-3 at Winsford United on Tuesday.  They host Silsden (14th) who are without a win in seven games.

13th placed Bootle, who suffered a heavy midweek defeat at the hands of Glossop North End, host 17th placed Abbey Hey,who lost on their last visit to Merseyside, going down to AFC Liverpool last Saturday. Bootle won 4-1 at Abbey Hey in September.
