A selection of comments from the clubs who remain in the FA Cup after the weekend's games.

New Mills 2 Squires Gate 3

Dave McCann, Squires Gate manager: "I thought during both halves we had the better chances, however, particularly in the first half they were a lot better in possession.

"We started the game well and could have gone two or three nil in front, but then let them back into the game and conceded a poor goal from our point of view.

"At 2-0 down I never thought we were out of the game and so it proved. The lads never gave up and in the end I thought we were worthy winners. The lads showed great character and spirit - I'm really pleased for them all".

Radcliffe Borough 2 Atherton Collieries 2

Michael Clegg, Atherton Collieries manager: " I think it was two evenly matched sides to be honest, but at the same time we created most chances and should have had the game wrapped up.

"We got a penalty that never was, then we gave them the most stupid penalty that you can imagine. We have to dust ourselves down and get ready for Monday night and make sure we progress. The lads believe we can and I certainly believe we have enough to do it".

1874 Northwich 3 Prescot Cables 3

Ian Street, 1874 Northwich manager: "From looking very comfortable at 2-0 and 3-1, a couple of errors and bad decisions saw us draw the game 3-3 and meaning we have to do it all again on Tuesday at Prescot in the replay. That's football and I suppose that's why we love it.

"Credit to Prescot though, who dragged themselves out of a position that I believe even they thought was a lost cause with very little time left on the clock. "We were all very disappointed but are even more determined to try and get a result to go through the tie and into the next round. Myself and the players will be very much looking forward to it".

Congleton Town 0 Salford City 0

Ken Mead, Congleton Town secretary: " With a good turn out at Booth Street, many were expecting to see Salford City extend their 100% start to the season - indeed, there had been talk of what winning score would be recorded.

"In the event, Salford found themselves in a close contest where goalkeepers were the saviours of both sides. It was a good game to watch, well refereed and both sides tried hard to win at the first attempt.

"Craig Ellison in the Bears goal looked in confident mood saving the early Salford chances comfortably and at the other end Tom Stewart tipped over a goalbound header and on the stroke of half time saved well from Ryan Allcock after a super build up down the right.

"The best saves came early in the second half, when Ellison saved three times in succession from one attack, the last shot being tipped on to the post. Stewart saved Salford when getting down low to his right from another effort from Allcock and then in the last minute, reacted quickly to stick out a foot to turn a goalbound deflected cross wide.

"A good effort from the Bears and now the daunting task of a replay at Moor Lane but we go there knowing we can match our opponents, and will give it a good try to pull off what would be a shock".

Runcorn Town 1 Goole 1

Daniel Salt, Runcorn Town Assistant Manager: "I was very proud of the lads, who more than matched a very well organised Goole side from a higher division. It's always good to play a team from a higher league to see how we are progressing.

"We played well and did enough on the day to win the tie, but now have to go to Goole on Tuesday and show the same determination. Five players hadn't played much football this season and they all staked a claim to play in the replay.

"As a club we're all looking forward to the game, and hopefully a tie in the next round against Witton Albion".

Maltby Main 0 Glossop North End 7

Jonathan Haggart, Glossop North End Press Officer: "I've missed one game this season, and it happened to be this one, as I was away for the weekend.  So I've taken to Twitter and the club messageboard for the reaction to the result, and here are the highlights -

"Lee Donafee, Assistant Manager - "Great result for @GlossopNorthEnd yesterday, congrats to the squad, great work from all. Special thanks to all fans for their support"

"Jim & Pat, season ticket holders - "We certainly can't complain about lack of goals today! Maltby were a pretty poor side but you can only beat what is in front of you. 3-0 at half time - two well taken goals by Jason Carey and a penalty for Dave Young. Second half Youngy completed his hat trick - all penalties! Well done to all the team and a good day out for the traveling GNE fans"

"Dicey - season ticket holder - "I don't think we are still playing to our full potential, but I will be happy if we don't but still keep winning with such style. 7 Goals!!! Fantastic."

"Sam Hind, striker, noting my first absence of the season - "Stay away Haggis"

"Charming!!"
