Winsford United have announced that Winsford Town Council has renewed its sponsorship of the club for a third season.

Chairman Mark Loveless said: “Their support of the club and what we are trying to achieve has given everyone involved with Winsford United a tremendous boost.

"The funding they have provided has enabled us to greatly improve the facilities, including a changing room for lady officials and new drainage for problem areas of the pitch”

Secretary Bob Astles added: “For many years now we have been a one-team club, but the help the Council has given us means we now have four junior teams and a ladies team under our umbrella.

"We have also recently been awarded Charter Standard status, and we intend to do more to make Winsford United a genuine Community Club serving the needs of the people of Winsford”.
