This evening sees the first League cup final of the season, with Formby taking on Hanley Town in the final of the First Division Challenge Cup at the Millbank Linnets Stadium, home of Runcorn Linnets.

For Hanley Town, it's the first time they have ever appeared in the final of any NWCFL cup competition, having only joined the League last summer, and Formby have made one previous final appearance back in 1995, when they beat Flixton.

Both sides go into the game on the back of some recent good form, and with both Hanley's Theo Stair and Formby's Jason Carey among the League's leading goalscorers, the scene is set for an exciting evening's entertainment.

Admission to the game is by cash payment at the turnstiles, with admission prices of £5 for adults or £3 for concessions. A coupon giving a £1 discount on the admission prices can be printed off and produced at the turnstiles. One voucher per person.

Both clubs will play in their normal first choice colours, with Formby in all yellow and Hanley Town in all blue.

The League has produced a match programme for the game, which will be on sale priced at £2.

The game kicks off at 7.45 pm and will be played to finish on the night, with extra time and penalties if necessary.
