Ken Dean
Wed 19th June 2013 | Announcements | By Ian Templeman
It is with regret that we have to announce that Ken Dean, a Life Member of the NWCFL, passed away this morning.
Ken was a member of the first ever NWCFL Management Committee that was formed in 1982, following the establishment of the League after the amalgamation of the Lancashire Combination and Cheshire County League.
The Committee was comprised of officials who, in the main, had held down similar roles with the other leagues, and Ken stepped into the role of NWCFL Treasurer/Fixture Secretary, having been previously been Secretary/Treasurer of the Lancashire Combination.
Ken remained actively involved in League affairs for many years, and was appointed a Life Member of the NWCFL in recognition of his service. He continued to attend games for as long as he was able, and was a familiar face around the grounds in his native East Lancashire in particular.
Our sympathies and condolences go to his family at this time.
Details of funeral arrangements will follow in due course.
