New Website For Abbey Hey
Sun 16th June 2013 | Abbey Hey | By Ian Templeman
Abbey Hey's new official website went online this morning at 10 am. The address is still
www.abbeyheyfc.co.uk so no changes are needed to any links.
Abbey’s Media Officer Paul Cullen explained the reasons behind the development of the new website.
"As one of the first teams in the NWCFL to use Pitchero, it has served us very well over the past three seasons. But, with approximately 50% of the league now using Pitchero to provide their official websites, the feedback we were receiving suggested that supporters are growing tired of the same look for the majority of teams.
“Our promotion into NWCFL's top tier seemed as good a time as any to make the change especially when you look at the quality sites in the 'Prem' such as Glossop North End and St Helens Town.
“The club has improved both on and off the pitch since our relegation from the Premier and hopefully those teams visiting us next season for the first time in a while will see a more professionally ran and image-concious club than the one that departed in April 2010.
“With the step up from Division One comes increased costs and the new bespoke site will allows us to better tailor the pages to suit our own requirements and promote the club without as many limitations. We'd like to say a big thank you to Tim Abram, the Abbey Hey Photographer, for helping both with the building of the site and for supplying images and designs.
“The Pitchero site will still remain online in a limited form to display Tim's match photos and can be accessed via the new site".
